Coverage

Where the telemetry reaches. And over which network.

The transmitter picks the network; you don’t have to. Where there is a tower, the data goes up through the mobile operator within minutes. Where there isn’t, it goes over the DG satellite network, also within minutes. Coverage depends on the country, the operator and the exact site, so we check it in the site survey before any proposal.

DG satellite network

Where it reaches: Wide-area satellite coverage, including places with no tower at all. Availability in your country and at your site is confirmed in the survey.

When the data arrives: Readings within minutes.

What it is for: Remote wells and intakes, pivots in the middle of the field, forest and mountain areas, assets far from any road.

NB-IoT and 4G

Where it reaches: Where a mobile operator reaches: around towns, along highways and at industrial sites. NB-IoT availability varies by operator and country.

When the data arrives: Readings within minutes through the tower. The hybrid chip uses the tower when there is signal and satellite when there isn’t; on that path, the reading arrives within hours.

What it is for: Pumping stations near the road, dams, factories and solar plants.

LoRa (local network)

Where it reaches: Inside the property or the plant, with one of our gateways gathering the sensors. Regional radio variants available on request.

When the data arrives: Seconds between sensor and gateway; the gateway sends upstream over whatever network is available.

What it is for: Several metering points in the same field or building, vibration sensors on machines.

Coverage by country

We check the site before we quote. Not after.

We don’t publish a coverage map by country, on purpose. Whether a reading gets out depends on which operator reaches the exact point, whether NB-IoT is active in that region, whether satellite is available there and which radio plan applies. So every proposal starts with a site survey, and the network for each point is written into the proposal.

  1. You send the location

An address or GPS coordinates for each point, and what you want to measure.

  2. We check the networks at that point

Mobile operator coverage, NB-IoT availability and satellite availability for that country and site.

  3. We recommend the transmitter

Cellular, hybrid or satellite, with the expected delivery time for each point.

  4. The proposal states the network

Each point in the proposal comes with the network it will use. No coverage promise before checking.

A note on LoRa

LoRaWAN defines regional frequency plans (for example US915 in North America and EU868 in Europe). The radio variant of a LoRa installation depends on the region; regional radio variants of our equipment are available on request and confirmed in the survey.

Check my area

Tell us where the site is. We’ll tell you which network reaches it.

An engineer checks operator coverage and satellite availability at that point and replies by e-mail with the transmitter that fits: cellular, hybrid or satellite. No commitment.
